Kevin Nguyen

Business Analyst

SMC Partners

After earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Informatics from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University, I realized that I have a passion for doing work that has a large impact on communities. Therefore, I enrolled into MCPHS’ Master of Public Health program and am scheduled to graduate in December. While taking these classes online, I focused on networking with health care professionals and experts to gain insight on the healthcare field. Eventually through networking, I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to a Health IT Consultant Company called SMC Partners. I’ve now been a member of SMC for the past year and a half working as a Business Analyst.

Sarah Zhang
Business Analyst
Commonwealth Care Alliance

I started working at Commonwealth Care Alliance as a Business Analyst one month after graduating from Northeastern University with an MS in Health Informatics. Six months after being hired, I was moved to a new team in the same department and given the title of Business Intelligence Analyst. My current role enables me to utilize business intelligence and data analysis tools to manage various challenging projects that improve member care and bring insight to stakeholders. I worked in the education field for years before deciding to get my master’s degree. Switching career paths is never easy, but the Health Informatics Program and my experiences at HIMSS greatly facilitated my transition.
